Tampa is the major city of Florida's central Gulf of Mexico coastal region, and many vacationers who prefer to be closer to the Gulf beaches or the green backwaters of the interior visit Tampa to take in the sights and sounds of the city. One way to round-out a visit to the Tampa area is with a dinner cruise, which combines an air conditioned retreat with a quiet, scenic trip around Tampa Bay and a pleasant meal.
Yacht StarShip
Yacht StarShip's dinner cruise departs from the Channel District area of the Tampa waterfront, roughly a quarter mile from the Florida Aquarium and half a mile from the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel. Their vessel departs every night of the week, taking in the view of Tampa Bay and Clearwater Beach. The menu changes daily, but past entrees include pan-seared Atlantic cod with a savory spice rub and pork loin stuffed with andouille sausage. After finishing their meal, patrons can head for the vessel's top deck, either for drinks and dancing in the lounge or to enjoy the view and sea air from the promenade.
